Shri T. Banambar Patra aged 53 is a member of the well known Patra family of Puri, Orissa which has been traditionally engaged in trading business since the year 1969. The success of the trading business saw the Patra family engaging themselves in Departmental stores, manufacturing, stationery, C&F agents and Resort & Hotel business. With the excellent performance of the Company in the field of trading, Shri Patra was the main force behind the major diversification of family's business, by venturing into the hotel line in the year 1982, with the construction of Toshali Sands Village Resort on their family's property located at Konark Marine Drive, Orissa. Mr. T. Banambar Patra visualized an ethnic resort and thus invited architects from all over the country to give the concept a proper shape. Toshali Sands has from the beginning enjoyed an enviable reputation in international and domestic market. The advent of tourism promotion laid stress in the promotion of tourism in the State of Orissa. Hence, the infrastructure had to be built. This encouragement inspired Mr. Patra to undertake a course in resort operation and marketing in one of the best schools in the world from Laussane, Switzerland, which was fully approved and aided by the Department of Tourism, Government of India, in the year 1988. The success of the resort resulted in M/s TK International Ltd. being granted Tour Operator's license from the Department of Tourism, Government of India. Mr. Patra currently is holding the position of President of 'Resort Developers Association of Northern India' and Secretary 'All India Resort Development Association'. Mr. Patra also previously held the various positions as Secretary & Vice President in the Traders Association & Hotel & Restaurant Association of Orissa. Mr. Patra is a member in the board of Governors of Institute of Hotel Management and Technology.
Needless to say that with Mr. T. Banambar Patra as the Managing Director of the Company, TK International Limited, is poised for further strides in the promotion of tourism in India. The Company's Resorts have placed themselves in International Tourist Map, as they have very high standards and offer the finest facilities. His keen observations and acumen for developing resorts had made the company that cares enough in giving every member exciting holidays, lot of fun, firm commitments and satisfaction. TKIL has received a number of hospitality awards from India and abroad. The company has received an International Gold Star award for quality from Business Initiative Directions, Madrid, Spain which certifies the fact that the company is one of the top most recognised company for its quality throughout the World. The company has already achieved hospitality award from RCI for its Toshali Sands Resort, Puri for three consecutive years as this hospitality award is given to few resorts around the globe for commitment to quality and overall service & satisfaction of customers.
(B) Shri. T. Narsingh Patra - Executive Director
Shri T. Narsingh Patra is a whole time Director aged 47 and is looking after construction operations of the Company's Resort Division for more than 19 years. Shri Patra is a professional in resort operations and has close and in-depth knowledge of the same . He has extensively traveled abroad and has had training on operation and marketing from the hotel management school, Laussane, Switzerland. He has also attended a number of Tourism & Travel Marts in Europe, which were fully approved and aided by the Department of Tourism, Government of India.
(C) Shri. Harihar Patra - Director Marketing
Shri Harihar Patra aged 42 is Director - Finance of the Company, A Commerce Graduate from Berhampur University of Orissa and Post Graduate from IIM, Ahmedabad. He has undergone extensive training and attended a number of workshops on finance and cost control. He is presently looking after the financial & marketing aspects of the Company.
(D) Shri T. Raghunath Patra - Director
Shri T. Raghunath Patra aged 65 years, has wide and varied experience in travel and tourism industry which extends over a period of a decade and a half in its various facets. He also has considerable experience in the area of Trading & Exports. His experience has led to increased sales at Resort in Puri.
(F) Smt. T. Sakuntala Subudhi - Director
Smt. Subudhi aged 61 has wide and varied experience in the tourism industry as also in export trading.
(E) Shri S.M. Gani - Director
Shri S.M. Gani aged 65 recently retired from the post of Deputy Director General/Regional Director, Govt. of India. He served with Govt. of India as well as the Govt. of Orissa for 36 years in various capacities such as Deputy Secretary - Department of Tourism, Corporate Secretary, OTDC, Principal, Institute of Hotel Management, Calcutta. His post-retirement plans include the promotion of Buddhist pilgrimage tourism in the East, beach resorts Eco and Adventure tourism in the region of the Himalayas.
(F) Shri Felix Boller - Director
Sh. Felix Boller, 51 is a graduate in economics. Mr. Boller has a vast experience in the field of Tour and Travel operations. He is a man of great knowledge with experience in as diverse fields as Biology and Geography. He is also a co-writer of the book 'India'. Mr. Boller is a consultant to Tourism development Authority, Switzerland. He represents Toshali Resorts International's marketing in Europe.
